When desire crosses its limit it becomes addiction. Addiction is the cause of all suffering. I will be free of all addiction.

I will take positive steps towards my goal coolly and courageously.

It is not our birth but our work that determines our greatness. I too will attain greatness through my work.

Con-men and swindlers use easy money as bait. I will always be careful not to take their bait.

I will follow my routine and as a result, prosper naturally.

I know true strength lies in togetherness. I will always be with the sangha (association of good people).

I won't be afraid of what people might say. I will happily attend functions without any gifts. My sincere prayer for the host will be the best gift.

In true prayer the one who is praying and the One who answers the prayer become one. This is how I will always pray.

Instead of unconsciously causing disease through worry I will consciously create health through positive thinking.

I come to office on time and leave after my boss leaves. My advancement is guaranteed.

I will donate blood on my birthday. Saving four lives will be the best birthday present.

I am learning to trust my intuition. I am able to sense the truth spontaneously.

I am the master of my thoughts. My mind will obey only me.

I will use public toilets as quickly as possible so that others have a chance to use them as well.

I will always take genuine care of my guests without being superfluous or wasteful.

I am with the truth. So I am not alone. The Lord is with me.

The light of true knowledge can lift the darkness of ignorance. When ignorance is removed, we rise above our selfishness, redeem our sins and transform our suffering into joy. I will acquire true knowledge.

I will accept any argument or proposal
only after I evaluate it carefully.

I will consciously refrain from saying anything that might cause conflicts or controversies.

There is nothing smart about being able to attract the opposite sex, every animal does it. I am controlling this animal tendency.

I will try to attain the qualities of a background (not necessarily nominal) leader.

I am developing the habit of eating and sleeping at the same time every day.

I know a person's hope may be his last resort. I will rekindle hope in everyone I meet.

Any mockery or criticism will increase my enthusiasm manifold.

Improper use of physical, mental and spiritual energy

I am practicing monchhobi (goal visualization), praying and donating to achieve the desired results. My results will be excellent.

Intelligent people know their limitations and start from there. I am intelligent. I will start with what I have.

Reactions close doors and actions open up new horizons. I have the courage to act instead of react.

Frustration and happiness are each others enemy. Frustration destroys happiness and happiness washes frustration away. I will embrace happiness.

I will take proper care of my personal objects.

I am aligning myself to God's will. My salvation is guaranteed.

Anger, resentment and bitterness harm me more than they harm others. I will not harbor these negative emotions.

It takes time for a seed to grow into a tree and bear fruit. I will devote time and labor to realize my monchhobi (vision)

I am learning how to work independently without supervision.

I am keeping up with the times. I am learning new skills and
developing new strategies. I will win.

I will only choose someone with similar values and ideals as my friend or life partner.

After I use any tools and utensils I will put them back in their proper place.

A word spoken in wrath is the sharpest sword. The words I speak will always be pleasant.

I will be totally immersed in each activity. Then each new work will become a new world, a new life, a new horizon of joy.

I will regard my colleagues as my associates, my boss as my guardian and myself as my competitor. Healthy competition will accelerate my development.

Debt is like cancer. It silently destroys a person from within. I will always be free of debt.

Bed Wetting

There was an 8 year old boy who used to wet his bed. He went through all types of treatments but nothing worked. At last, the family doctor advised him to try visualization. While wetting the bed, the boy would dream of water flowing in a huge river. The doctor advised him to visualize that he was walking along the side of the river , then he came to a place where the flow of the river was blocked by a huge dam.

The boy did as the doctor told him. But that night he wet the bed once again. When the doctor asked him what had happened, the boy replied that water had leaked through one of the floodgates. Then the doctor and the boy created a new mental image. This time the boy visualized that he was attaching a sheet of iron on the floodgate with waterproof super glue, making sure no water could pass through it. Then he locked the floodgate and kept the key with himself. With the key he would be able to unlock the floodgate any time he wanted. He also had a knife with which he would be able to detach the iron sheet if he needed to.   

Every night before going to bed, the boy would go on this imaginary journey with his mother. After he locked the floodgate he would give the key to his mother who would place it under his pillow. In the next 3 weeks, the boy wet the bed only 3 times. On those 3 nights, he dreamt that due to heavy rain and storm, the water level risen and flowed over the dams. But with the help of his doctor he was able to solve this problem too. He visualized there was a tunnel by the river. Excess water would flow through this tunnel to nearby land, it wouldn't flow over the dam. After visualizing like this for some time, the boy never wet his bed again.
