As a family we will have at least one meal together every day.

Anger, wrath and fury decreases the flow of
serotonin in the brain.
Meditation increases the flow and
creates a feeling of wellbeing.
I will meditate regularly.

Family is the best human source of emotional security. I am devoting time to nurture my family.

For a peaceful, prosperous and trouble-free life I will regularly donate to charity.

I will use the word possibility instead of the word problem.

Wallowing in frustration is really idleness in disguise. Those who have nothing to do, enjoy nothing. I have a lot to do. So I will always be happy.

When desire crosses its limit it becomes addiction. Addiction is the cause of all suffering. I will be free of all addiction.

I have to express my own beliefs.
I am learning how to express myself clearly and concisely.

I am learning to accept compliments and criticism with equal ease.

I will follow someone's good example but never imitate them.

Wisdom is the spontaneous ability to choose the best amongst thousands of choices. My wisdom is increasing day by day.

Silent and persistent work is the best kind of publicity. Instead of worrying about publicity I will just keep on doing my work persistently.

I will take complete responsibility for my results. I will identify my mistakes and make sure I don't repeat them in the future.

Whoever was born must die. Even in the face of death my faith will be unshakable.

I will look at each moment with the curiosity of a child. Joy and contentment will be mine.

I will appreciate others' help, no matter how small it is. I will thank them sincerely for it.

I will use my intelligence not to win arguments, but to avoid them.

Every time I help the downtrodden my inner power increases. I will help someone downtrodden today.

The darkness of depression is only for the weak. Those with faith and conviction live in a joyful world. I have faith.

The enlightened brings sunshine into the lives of those who dwell in the darkness of depression. I will follow the path of the enlightened.

If I don't nurture goodness, evil will occupy me. I will always occupy myself with good thoughts.

The light of true knowledge can lift the darkness of ignorance. When ignorance is removed, we rise above our selfishness, redeem our sins and transform our suffering into joy. I will acquire true knowledge.

I know the way to happiness is to make others happy.

When I am taking a shower or a bath, I will keep the temperature of the water cooler than my body temperature. This will strengthen my immune system.

I know marriage is falling in love with the same person every day. Each day I will fall in love with my husband/wife in a new way.

devote my energy to my own success.

Faith is the foundation of my life. My foundation is solid.

A warm heart and a cool brain makes one truly great. I am following the path of greatness.

I will preserve others' possessions with care. I will return things in the same condition I received them.

I am adept in languages and technology. I am always ready to learn new languages and technical skills.

I will remember the lyrics and melody of the song perfectly. Whenever I sing or play an instrument, I will perform with natural skill and genuine emotion.

I was born to be happy. Positive steps will increase my happiness.

I know anger destroys possibilities. So I will always think and act calmly.

I will emphasize my husband/wife's strengths. This will inspire him/her to overcome his/ her weaknesses.

Meditation and Diabetes

Plenty of studies have shown that meditation helps bring down the blood glucose (sugar) levels of diabetic patients.

For example, in 2008, Thai researcher Chaiopanont did a study with 50 type-2-diabetic patients to whom he introduced and taught meditation after breakfast. The result revealed that meditation practice and self care help to lower the blood glucose level significantly in type-2-diabetic patients after having meal. He also showed that meditation reduces the systolic and diastolic blood pressure in diabetic patients.

In another study, Rosenzweiq and others (2007) observed the HbA1c (glycosylated hemoglobin) levels in the blood of diabetic patients. HbA1c is glucose-bound hemoglobin found in the blood of diabetic patients due to the excess glucose present in blood. The results showed that meditation not only helps to lower the HbA1c level in blood but also helps to reduce the blood pressure in diabetic patients. In addition the study found that meditation causes decrease in depression, anxiety, and general psychological distress which are considered as causative factors for imbalanced glucose control among diabetics.
