Eid Mulakat

For the Quantum family members, the most eagerly awaited occasion of the year is the Eid Mulakat. On the morning of Eid ul Fitr, from 10am to 1 pm, thousands of Quantum members and well-wishers gather to meet and exchange Eid greetings with Gurujee and Majee. The jubilant, cheerful participants and the festive decoration make it the most joyous occasion of the year.

There was a time when the Quantum Method Course used to take place in a small venue with fewer participants. Those days, at the end of the concluding meditation, Gurujee used to stand at the gate of the hall to bid goodbye to all the new graduates. The new graduates used to go home cheerfully after shaking hands with Gurujee and taking his blessings. But now, due to practical reasons this is not possible.

These days Gurujee often says, “I have only one regret. I cannot shake hands with the participants of the Quantum Method Course or talk to them, even though I want to.”

The reason is, he says, he doesn’t have the heart to shake hands with a few and deprive the others. These days there are so many participants in the course that there is no way he will be able to shake hands with everyone. Also, if he starts shaking hands with someone then all the other participants rush to gather around him, ruining the whole sitting arrangement of the hall.

For this reason, Gurujee and Majee started inviting Quantum family members to their home on Eid morning. Right after the Eid prayer, they start to receive all the members and their families with great affection and warmth. More and more people are attending this joyous event every year. For this reason, now the program is arranged in IDEB Hall in Kakrail. Last year, 14 thousand guests attended the program.

The members of Quantum family come with their entire family and friends. People of every age--from the 1-week-old newborn to the 80-year-old grandfather--join the event. In 2010, a family brought their 4-day-old baby straight from the hospital to take Gurujee’s blessings. The first outing of the baby was to meet Gurujee, the first get-together in Gurujee’s arms. Gurujee loves children very much and enjoys every opportunity of take them in his arms.

The Eid Mulakat shows how joyous and happy Eid can be for everyone. It is as if celebration and enjoyment is in the very air. Cheerful participation of people of every religion, cast and creed makes the joy of Eid universal.

A main attraction of the Eid Mulakat is the food or tabarok which is served. The tabarok contains Gurujee and Majee’s special blessings and has both healing power and amazing taste. Everyone says that they have eaten Morog Polao before, but nothing compares to the taste of this one. Many people wait all year round just for the taste and healing power of this tobarok.

Like all Quantum programs, the Eid Mulakat is also known for its excellent arrangement. Thousands of people are exchanging greetings with each other, eating their food and enjoying themselves without any discomfort. The Quantiers in charge of food distribution and hospitality serve with both warmth and efficiency.
