What & How to Eat
The simpler your food habit during Ramadan, the more you will enjoy it's health and spiritual benefits. It is best to avoid all rich and fried food during sehri and iftaar.
Have a few dates and water at iftaar time. Then say your magrib prayers. This will give your body time to be ready for food. Then have your regular dinner.
It is best to avoid heavy food and overeating during sehri also. Protein requires more water to digest so chances are if you eat meat or other heavy protein for sehri you will feel thirsty during the day. Have some rice with only vegetables or some other light food.
Try these simple food habits for a few days and you will feel tranquil, pure and light during Ramadan.
Quran Quantaion
Quantum Foundation organizes special programs during Ramadan; the month of self-purification for Muslims. The most notable of this program is Quantaion- E- Quran, or listening to the Quran and its meaning in silence. The Quran urges us to be silent and pay attention when it is being recited. When we listen to the Quran silently, in the meditative level, we are able to grasp its true meaning.
The Prophet (PBUH) said that 1 hour of meditation is equivalent to 70 years of nafl ibadaat. Moreover, earning about the Quran is farz and the rewards of a farz (compulsory) ibaddat is 70 times that of a nafl (voluntary) ibadaat. Again, the rewards of collective ibadaat is 70 times that of individual ibadaat. Finally, the rewards of good deeds are 70 times during Ramadan. So you can earn the rewards of 45 hrs*70yrs*70*70*70= 1 billion, 80 million, 450 thousand years of nafl ibadaat simply by participating 45 hours of Quran Quantaion.
The program is held in many Quantum Centers and Branches within and outside of Dhaka.
